The staff was outstandingly accommodating!
The stay was such wonderful and I would book here again. The hotel was deluxe, location was magnificent in the centre of the historic district, incredibly nice breakfast. The room was great quality and had central heating, an electronic key card, and tea/coffee making equipment. I loved a magnificent view of city. There was free Wi-Fi in all rooms and the service in general was very good.

The Residenza Il Barone Tropea is a hidden gem right in the vibrant center of town. Its location is unbeatable, just off a square in the heart of the old section, making it convenient for exploring and close to a variety of restaurants. Despite being in the center, the hotel manages to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. I was impressed with the attention to detail and the excellent service provided by the staff. Robert, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was excellent. He not only recommended fantastic restaurants and shopping spots, but also helped me with arranging tours. Whenever I needed anything, all I had to do was ask and it was promptly taken care of. The rooms on the third floor were a pleasant surprise, offering beautiful views of the surroundings. The spaciousness of the rooms, along with their cleanliness, was commendable. The hotel also provided free access to a laptop and TV in the room, which was a convenient bonus. Lastly, the rooftop terrace where breakfast was served was simply breathtaking. With its stunning views and delicious breakfast options, it was the perfect way to start the day.
There were no negative aspects to mention. All was perfect.

The breakfast and evening appetizers were delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of local products. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the rooftop terrace during meals. The location was great, with easy access to many local attractions.
The room was a bit cramped, with limited space to move around. There was some street noise that could be heard from inside the room, which made it difficult to sleep at times.

This hotel’s location is unbeatable. Nestling right in the centre but so quiet, it's just off a square in the enter of the old section of town. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby to keep you entertained, with some quiet beaches only a short walk away.
The decor in some of the rooms is a little dated.

Convenient location near restaurants & shops. Beautiful views from terrace, perfect to enjoy drinks & appetizers. Spacious room & clean shower room, with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi & computer.
No elevator in the building, it can be hard who have trouble climbing stairs. Beds a little too firm for our taste, but it seems typical in this region of Italy.
